“Half Fine”, although a slightly lower grade to our gilt braid it benefits from being low tarnish, yet is still smooth, shiny and perfect for RAF mess dress ranking. It is a slightly paler tone to the Gilt gold braid. Manufactured in France.
This is the braid we usually use for our RAF No 5 Re-ranking.
Gilt Braid is 5/000 Gilt, and our highest specification of gold braid. Manufactured in France.
This braid is shiny, and smooth with fine wire with a slightly more orange tone to the Half Fine gold braid. Should be a good colour match to most Royal Navy braids if you are adding to existing braiding, or if you are looking to upgrade your RAF No5 jacket gold braid.
